On September 21st, Charlotte Sands graced the stage at Soundwell in SLC on her first headline tour with Carobae.
Opening the night was Nashville singer, songwriter and producer, Carobae. After graduating college, she struggled to find labels willing to work with her, but instead of giving up on her dreams, she started writing and producing her own music. Releasing her EP “songs from 3am” in 2019, she quickly made her way into the music scene.
She now releases her own music, as well as writing songs for TRAMP STAMPS.
She sings songs anyone in their 20’s can relate to, and although some of her songs are about heartbreak, she is now happily engaged. I think it’s safe to say everyone in the crowd was singing along and feeling every beautiful emotion expressed in her music.
Charlotte Sands started her road to fame when the song “Dress” (about Harry Styles) went viral on TikTok. The young singer grew up in a very artistic household and decided to fully pursue the artist lifestyle after high school and moved to Nashville. Finding inspiration for storytelling songwriters and emo and pop-punk bands, she tries to combine the different styles in her own music.
Throughout the show she had fans screaming that they loved her, making her very emotional. She tried to express to the fans how unreal it felt to have them knowing the words to her songs and singing along. The crowd was holding onto her every word, listening to the meaning behind her more emotional songs and screaming along to her more pop-punk songs. Sands was meant to be on stage and her passion for music shows.
